The Saurav - Greg Row and Indian Cricket

It is hard to believe that Indian cricket has reached such a sorry state of affairs. With people shouting foul from over and under each others shoulders, it is hard to believe anyone. One thing that any layman can understand is that the men at the top-the ones in blue or the ones in the administration have only their personal interests in mind. The interests of the game and Team India have been conveniently put under the carpet. One feels a need for a massive overhaul of the team. With reports of match-fixing not yet on the back burner, one can foresee the imminent disaster that is ringing in the skies. Who will emerge loser in this ordeal these eminent men of our country are going through. Certainly not they, who now know how to work their way around with power. The loser will be the honest fan who watches a game of cricket like he performs religious rituals, who worships these men as Gods-his source of sustenance and pride. Never again will an honest man have dreams of his son donning the blue armour.
